Add a date stamp to a photo

We read the date stored in your photo and stamp it in a corner, with the orange glow of ’90s cameras or in a simple format.

How to use it

  1. Choose your photo: we read the date it was taken.
  2. Pick the format, color and position.
  3. If you like, add the time.
  4. Tap “Add date” and download it.

Where does the date come from?

From the data your phone or camera saves when taking the photo. If the photo doesn’t have it (for example, because it went through WhatsApp), we use the file date and let you know so you can check it. To see all the data, use view metadata.

Questions and answers

Can I type a different date?

No: we use the photo’s real date, so the stamp is honest.

Does it lose quality?

No: the photo is saved at its original size.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your photos never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
