Pixelate or hide parts of a photo

Before sharing a screenshot or a photo of a document, hide what nobody else should see. Drag over each area and choose how to cover it.

Drag over the photo to mark what you want to hide. You can mark several areas.

How to use it

  1. Choose your photo or screenshot.
  2. Choose how to hide: pixelate, blur or black box.
  3. Drag over the photo to mark each area; you can mark several.
  4. Tap “Create image” and download it.

Which one should I use?

For important data (ID numbers, cards, passwords) use the black box: it’s the safest, because there’s nothing left to reconstruct. Pixelation and blur look nicer on faces or plates.

Questions and answers

Is it safe for documents?

Yes, and the photo never leaves your device. For numbers or sensitive data, use the black box.

I marked the wrong spot. How do I fix it?

Tap “Undo” to remove the last area, or “Clear all” to start over.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your photos never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
