No. 01 — Convert format

Convert HEIC to JPG

iPhones save photos as HEIC, a format many websites, apps and Windows PCs can’t open. Turn them into JPGs here in seconds, with nothing to install.

How to use it

  1. Tap “Choose photos” and pick your HEIC photos. You can select several at once.
  2. Wait a few seconds: the conversion happens on your own device.
  3. Tap “Download” on each photo, or “Download all”.

What is HEIC?

HEIC (also called HEIF) is the format iPhones have used since iOS 11, because it takes about half the space of a JPG of the same quality. The catch is that not everything understands it: many online forms, shops and programs only accept JPG or PNG.

How to make your iPhone shoot JPGs

If you want your next photos to be JPGs from the start, go to Settings › Camera › Formats and choose “Most Compatible”. Photos will take up a little more space on your phone.

Questions and answers

Do I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?

Very little. We use high quality by default (92%) and you can raise it to 100% with the quality slider.

Can I convert many photos at once?

Yes. Select as many as you like: they’re converted one by one and you can download them all together.

Does the JPG keep the location and photo data?

No. The new file doesn’t carry the hidden EXIF data, such as GPS location, which also protects your privacy when you share it.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your photos never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
