Photo for the India e-Visa

The India e-Visa asks for a square digital photo (height equal to width), with a light background and 10 KB to 1 MB in size. Here it comes out at 600 × 600 px, within the size limit.

Drag the photo and zoom: the top of the head goes on the upper line, the chin on the lower one and the face inside the oval.

How to use it

  1. Choose a front-facing photo, without glasses, with your eyes open.
  2. Fit your whole head inside the guide, centered.
  3. Tap “Create photos” and download the square JPG.

What pixel size should I use?

The portal asks for a square photo; 600 × 600 px works well and keeps the file small.

Can I wear glasses?

No, the India e-Visa doesn’t accept photos with glasses.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?
