Professional headshot for your résumé
Job portals, LinkedIn and company badges want a tidy headshot, and most of us only have selfies. Pick a front-facing photo: the person is cut out, dressed in a real men’s suit with tie and framed as a 4:5 portrait on the background you choose.
Pick your suit
Suit doesn’t fit? Adjust “Suit size”, “Move sideways” and “Move up or down”, or drag the suit directly on the image. “Brightness”, “Saturation” and “Warmth” come pre-set so your face matches the suit.
How to use it
- Choose a front-facing photo that shows your face, neck and shoulders, in even light.
- Wait while the AI separates you from the background; it downloads once and then stays cached.
- Under “Pick your suit” choose one of the 5 suits, then the “Background”: “White”, “Light blue”, “Light grey”, “Transparent” or a custom “Color”. “Framing” is already “CV photo (4:5)”.
- Fine-tune “Suit size”, “Move sideways” and “Move up or down” until the collar sits under your chin, and tap “Create image”.
Why the result looks natural
The five suits are photographs of real suits taken from the front, not drawings, so fabric, lapels and tie knots have real texture. “Brightness”, “Saturation” and “Warmth” are preset so your face matches the suit’s lighting; move them only if your photo was taken in very warm or very cold light. 4:5 is a classic portrait proportion that suits the photo slot of most CV templates and job portals.
Where you can and cannot use it
Use it for CVs and résumés, LinkedIn, job portals, company intranets, staff badges and conference profiles. Do not use it for passports, visas, driving licenses or national ID cards: those photos must show you as you are, and added clothing is a reason for rejection. For an official document, take a real photo in your own clothes and use the passport photo maker.
Questions and answers
Is there a version for women?
The five outfits are men’s suits with a tie. For a women’s headshot, wear a blazer or blouse in the photo itself and clean up the background with white background photo; the framing and background options work the same way.
Which background should I pick?
White or light grey reads as corporate and prints well on a badge; light blue is softer for portals. Transparent gives a PNG you can place on a designed CV. For a round profile picture, pick “Square (profile)” under “Framing”, or use fit photo in a square afterwards.
What if the suit doesn’t fit my shoulders?
Adjust “Suit size” first, then “Move up or down” and “Rotate suit” if your head is slightly tilted; you can also drag the suit directly on the image. A straight, eye-level selfie works best. The general suit photo page has the same tool with the original framing.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your photos never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
