Make a photo collage

A birthday, a trip, a before-and-after or a product line: put the photos together in one image and post it as a single picture. The grid is already selected; every photo becomes a square tile, and you decide the spacing and the background color.

    How to use it

    1. Choose the photos for the collage; you can add more afterwards.
    2. Put them in order with the arrows. “Layout” is set to “Grid”; switch to “Side by side” or “One under another” if you prefer.
    3. Adjust “Spacing” and the “Background” (white, black or a color), then tap “Create image”.

    How the grid is built

Each photo is cropped to a square around its center so all the tiles are the same size, whatever shape the originals were. Four photos make a 2 × 2 grid, nine make 3 × 3, six make two rows of three, and other counts fill the rows from left to right. A wide spacing in white looks like a printed album; zero spacing gives a seamless mosaic.

    Collages for stories and chats

On WhatsApp, a collage avoids sending ten separate pictures that get compressed one by one. On Instagram, a 2 × 2 or 3 × 3 collage posts as one square image, so nothing is cropped in the feed. For a before-and-after, two photos side by side with a thin spacing read best, and that layout doesn’t crop anything.

    Questions and answers

Can I choose which part of each photo is kept?

The grid keeps the center of each photo. If a face sits near an edge, crop that photo first with crop image, or run it through fit photo in a square so the whole photo, with a background, becomes the tile.

Can I add text or a title?

Download the collage and open it in add text to photo to write a caption or a date on it.

I want the opposite: cut one photo into a grid.

Use split image, which cuts a photo into 4 or 9 equal parts. For more layouts with the same tool as this page, see combine photos.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your photos never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
